Screenings

Developmental screenings are available to determine if your child is achieving developmental milestones and learning within typical expectations when compared to peers.  The developmental screening consists of a questionnaire and clinical observation of your child's overall development.  Areas of development considered include communication, gross motor, fine motor, problem solving, and personal-social development.  A developmental screening is a brief test lasting approximately 15-30 minutes.  Concerns will be discussed and recommendations for additional assessment will be made when warranted.

Preschool speech and language screenings are available to determine if your child is achieving speech and language milestones within typical expectations when compared to peers.  The speech and language screening consists of caregiver report and clinical observation of your child's basic speech and language skills.  A preschool speech-language screening will last approximately 10 minutes.  Results will be discussed with the family and recommendations for further assessment will be made if warranted based upon age appropriate expectations.

We are happy to provide developmental screenings or speech and language screenings to local childcare and preschool centers!
